The reason why it is popular than the other type of pistachio is that it has the lightest shell color.  The color of the Pistachio shell is naturally light cream. However, Ahmad Aghaei shell is brighter than the other types.

Long Pistachio Ahmad Aghaei: The newest commercial variety, very popular with the farmers, because of high yield and a short time to reach production. The most common character to identify Ahmad Aghaei pistachio is that the shape is long but the length of each piece is different. It also has the whitest shell hue among the four types. This type of pistachio is a great source of healthy fats, fiber, protein, antioxidants and various nutrients, including vitamin B6 and potassium. Production of this variety is increasing. This type is the most favorable type in eastern Asia in particular China and India.
